This Spring Summer 2009 British women’s wear designer, Kate Tailyour’s collection continue to grow and excite, maintaining her status as ‘one to watch’ from the best of Britain’s new designers with the addition of several new ethical pieces within her collection.

Kate Tailyour Spring Summer 09 collection could be described as a guilty pleasure… however, this season the collection promises to be guilt free as the introduction of fair-trade silk and organic cotton are used in a number of styles and garments .

Kate’s unique designs and creative flare are proof that ethical fashion need not be boring, yet fun and wearable. Styles include fair-trade cotton scoop shorts, in powder grey and a softer, subtle option of pink. Subtle and feminine the shade has become the seasons newest neutral.

Kate’s Spring Summer 09 collection has already gained her recognition with the British Council, she is one of only six people to be shortlisted for the first ever UK Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award, which aims to recognise the importance of entrepreneurship in the UK’s creative economy. The winner will be announced at London Fashion Week in February 2009. The finalists have taken part in a specially tailored tour of India’s fashion industry to gain an insight into one of the worlds fast developing and most dynamic economies.
